A Comparative Study on the Occupational Education Schemes for Youth Employment Promotion in the United Kingdom and Korea

Abstract
It is important to make a policy of occupational education for youth employment promotion that should provide occupational ability for youth so that they can adopt their new job with ease. On this study, newly emerging youth employment promotion will be compared between the U.K. and S. Korea including some practical examples.
The most effective and efficient policy plan of the youth employment promotion will be made by the comparison. More specifically, the differences of general educational system, educational curriculums, partnership between schools and enterprises, and governmental support related to youth employment promotion between the U. K. and S. Korea will be analyzed through the comparison to find the best way.
There are four things of lesson that we can get through the study. First, our educational system should be changed with a big paradigm from the existent system divided into two things to one system which provides one in whole.
Second, it is necessary to make educational policy that may check students ability of job performance and manage them to obtain the fundamental ability. Also, it is essential to contact with enterprises and ask them what their needs are from students. Students should take their curriculums that would fulfill enterprise needs such as a course that help to get a license related to job.
Third, mutual interaction between schools and enterprises is needed. For the better interaction, a policy with administrative and financial support will be needed.
Fourth, one of the most distinguished differences from the policy in the U.K. is the overall well structured occupational education for youth employment promotion through their reform. The U.K. government has been a role as a continuous enabler with consistency.
On the study, it is necessary to learn and adopt the policy from the youth employment promotion in the U.K.. An education enables students adopt their new jobs more effective, a consistent governmental role as an enabler for the policy, and mutual interactions between schools and enterprises for positive youth employment promotion are most critical to reform or change a paradigm of our existing occupational education policy.
